Our first ever 'Traditional' format game - though an outright victory so no need for complicated equations over scoring rates and points for drawing...

The Liphook and Ripsley Third team continued their domination of the Iā€™Anson 7th division with a comprehensive victory over second place Peper Harrow Seconds.

Winning the toss for the 3rd time this season and putting Peper Harow into bat, Liphook restricted Peper Harow to 161/4 in the maximum 43 overs. Opening batsman Andrew Martin top scored with 66 before he was bowled by Richard Jarratt, and solid contributions were made by Marcus Price who was brilliantly run out for 31 by debutant, Will Quinnell, and Harley Saunders who finished unbeaten on 35. Pick of the Liphook and Ripsley bowlers was Richard Jarratt with 2-30, but there were some good economic performances, notably from Richard Grimes and William Longlands, who prevented Peper Harow from building a bigger score in the overs available.

The Liphook batsmen made batting look very easy, with man of the match Richard Jarratt (95 not out) and Skipper Al Lewis (38 not out) seeing Liphook to a winning margin of 9 wickets in only 23.3 overs. Four games played and four comprehensive victories recorded - its onwards and upwards for the 3's..!
